Once again, a Hip-Hop community member dies: PROOF (born Deshaun Holton) of Eminem's D12 died a few dayz ago, he was shot outside a night club for strange reasons, but when you make yourself ennemies and you diss peoples like Suge Knight, you have to know that there'll be reprisals. Even if I don't like them D12, R.I.P. to a good rapper anyway...Here's a funny remake of Jeru's "Playin' yaself" produced by Primo on Proof's 1st album "I miss the Hip Hop shop"...My condolences goes straight to his family and friends...Proof (of D12) - Play with myself

CHI-ALI was a very good rapper back in the dayz, he was made famous by the song "Age ain't nothing but a number", but now he's incarcerated for killin' his sister's boyfriend or some sh*t like that. My man Johan sent me this audio trailer of the movie HOOKED: The Legend of Demetrius "Hook" Mitchell (the soundtrack is done by Dj Premier, you'll hear the "Vision" skit of Afu and some other unreleased dope beats), which traces the life of the fabulous playground basketball player from Oakland CA, who was made famous by his slam dunk contests where he jumped over trucks and cars and who is most respected by basketball legends as Jason Kidd or Gary Payton cauz' he would have been a supernatural player like a Michael Jordan if he haven't been caught in drugs and stuff...But, when he went to jail, he became muslim and is now an example for a lot of people from the ghetto...Al Hamdulilah...Friday, April 07, 2006

I wanted to post this topic to give much props to a real MC that deserved to be nomined as the best MC ever a few yearz ago: KRS-One...When I heard KRS for the 1st time, I didn't like his style that much cauz' when I was a kid, I didn't understand english that good, so I didn't get what he was sayin'. But now...just listen to this track produced by Primo, you'll understand that this guy is one of the only guyz we can call MC...Premier always says in interviews that the most memorable studio sessions he did were with KRS, it was the best chemistry he said...But they don't make tracks together no more cauz' KRS was mad at Primo cauz' he give beats for $35,000, not $5,000 like he did back in the Boom Bap album dayz...But Primo said that he didn't want to lower the price cauz' he wasn't contacted by KRS himself, it was his manager or somebody; and he was pissed cauz' they was good friends and if KRS told him that himself, they would have discussed the price and all that. Plus, it's KRS-One, sh*t, he'll sell records anyway, especially if Primo is involved!! Krs-One - Higher Level
